After a moment of awkwardness, Gavin and Thea kiss. They decide to leave the party early, but Thea heads to the bathroom first.

On her way, Thea overhears Rachel talking with several other players’ wives. The group insults Gavin and Thea, calling them bad luck, and Rachel cruelly mocks Gavin’s stutter. Unable to stay silent, Thea confronts them, warning Rachel not to insult Gavin again. Drunk and defiant, Rachel continues, blaming Gavin for the Legends’ loss in the playoffs, which cost them a shot at the World Series.
